Diagnosis in Dermatology
Published by the Royal Veterinary College, United Kingdom, this online teaching unit is part of the Royal Veterinary College's eteaching programs which are currently under development. The course is made up of six modules, including: history, examination, diagnostic plan, skin lesions, diagnostic tests and therapy in diagnosis. A template for a clinical record form and flowcharts for history taking and examination are also included.
Electronic Textbook of Dermatology
Published by the Internet Dermatology Society this site is an electronic textbook of dermatology. Though freely available on the Web, the textbook is targeted to trained clinical dermatologists and is concerned with dermatology in relation to animals and humans.
Veterinary Dermatology Slides
Produced by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Glasgow, Scotland, this site provides slides for 4th year students, which illustrate different examples of dermatological findings. The site consists of four sections. Section 1 deals with skin smears and touch preparations, section 2 with parasites found on skin scraping or tape strip, section 3 with dermatophytes and section 4 with culture plates. Each section contains a series of images, accompanied by a question. The answers are provided by clicking on the "reveal answer" icon.
Update on Food Allergy in the Dog and Cat

The paper examines etiology, signlament, history and clinical signs and diagnostics of food allergy in the cat and dog, and concludes with a list of references.

Each entry consists of a brief description of the disorder, a list of the breeds affected, brief information on diagnosis and a short list of further resources.
Case Studies and Reviews
Dermatology Case Reviews
Created by Dr. Michael Lorenz, from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University, this site is a series of 32 case studies to enable the veterinary student to review their knowledge in the field of dermatology. For each case reviewed, there are three frames. The middle frame presents the case history, accompanied by images, with various options the student can select in relation to legions present, diagnosis, treatment and client education. The left frame provides a glossary of lesions. The far right frame provides instructions on using the site.

European Society of Veterinary Dermatology
ESVD is composed of veterinarians and scientists interested in the biology and diseases of animal skin. This Web site contains information about the society as well as courses and conferences.
American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD)
The American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) is an organisation of veterinarians certified in veterinary dermatology. Their home page includes information on links and resources in veterinary dermatology, upcoming seminars and events, before and after treatment photographs, as well as a 'find a dermatologist' function.
Internet Dermatology Society
The Internet Dermatology Society was established to promote uniform access to dermatology educational materials for its members and to provide an Internetworked gateway for dermatology and the closely associated fields of, dermatologic surgery, dermatopathology and immunodermatology. The site provides links to electronic sources on animal and human dermatology.
