Information Gateways

About Information Gateways

Information gateways are also known as subject gateways and provide links to high quality subject-specific resources. Most information gateways contain summaries of the contents of resources and provide an index. They are produced by subject specialists and information professionals.

Information gateways index a smaller number of Web pages than search engines and subject directories, however, the resources are more likely to be relevant and authoritative.
